Payne Permeability Cup

Payne permeability cup is a scientific equipment to determine the permeability of film of paints, Varnish etc. In permeability cup the film is gripped between a ring fitted with a seal and the cup which a quantity of water. Then placed into a desiccator at 38⁰C. Periodic weighing every 24 hrs. indicates the loss of water that has permeated through the film.
