Fineness Of Grind Gauge

Fineness Grind Gauge is to indicate the fineness of grind or the presence of coarse particles in a sample. It does not determine particle size distribution.

Grind Gauge are used in controlling the production, and application of dispersion products produced by milling in the Paint, Plastic pigment, Printing, ink, Paper, Ceramic, Pharmaceuticals, Food.

It is a flat steel block in the surface of which are Two flat bottom Grooves varying uniformly in depth from a maximum at one end of the block to zero near the other end. The groove depth is graduated in micron and Hegman Scale.

Standard : ASTM D 333, BS 3900

  • 0 – 10 Microns
  • 0 – 25 Microns ( 8 – 6 ) Hegman
  • 0 – 50 Microns ( 8 – 4 ) Hegman
  • 0 – 100 Microns ( 8 – 0 ) Hegman
